This Georgian style tall chest on chest was hand crafted around the American Centennial in 1876. At the time, there was a rage of interest in early American design, and this is an example of pieces created after designs from 1776.
Solid cherry and maple, expert workmanship is evident with wooden pegs, square nails, hand cut dovetails on the drawers and the case as well.
The finish is beautiful with warm antique patina, waxed and buffed, it needs only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain its luster. Rosy brasses are exquisite on this historic American furniture.
The upper section is separate for easier moving, dimensions are 42" wide, 19" deep and 5' 10" tall.
