A 1900 era lamp From France has a figure of a "Faucheur" or Reaper, signed "Bruchon."
The subtle painting is original on the statue of spelter or alloy metal, standing near bundles of wheat at harvest time. His raised hand may once have held a scythe for cutting down grain. The wood base has its original faux grained red marble finish.
The lamp has been rewired and has a switch on the cord, the flame shaped etched glass shade has a rough tip.
Overall height of this picturesque antique is 26 1/2."
