A richly hand embossed brass samovar or tea kettle was hand crafted in Turkey about 75 years ago. There are dings and stains for antique character.
The inside is lined with tin, there is a chimney where hot coals were set to keep the water hot.
Throughout the middle east and Russia, a hissing samovar was the universal sign of hospitality.
This large and detailed samovar is 16" across and 25" tall.
