Said to be from Pennsylvania, this 1840 era solid cherry corner cupboard has a fine old finish. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its antique patina. There are small mars at the edges and various repairs over the years, see photos.
The interior is painted on this American country antique. Square nailheads are visible on the rough sawn back and door panels are hand chamfered. Iron latches are about 125 years old but not original on this charming cabinet.
Size is 56" across the crown tip to tip, 85 1/2" tall and sides are 40 1/2" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
Item # L-C3391
