This five section stacking "lawyer's" bookcase is entirely original from about 1905 during the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period. The base and top are separate stacking pieces as well.
The original deep finish on quarter sawn oak is very well preserved, it has been waxed and buffed so an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth will maintain its warm patina. Doors have original wavy glass and pyramidal oak knobs on this American made antique furniture.
The labels are mostly missing, this appears to be from famous maker, "Globe Wernicke" of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Four identical sections fit books up to 8 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" tall, the larger fifth section accommodates up to 12" tall and 9 1/2" wide. Overall size is 35" wide, 11" deep and 64 1/2" tall.
