An authentic Country French "Morbier" movement clock from around 1880 is sometimes called a "Wag on the Wall." Professionally cleaned and oiled, the French Provincial brass movement keeps excellent time and strikes the hour and half.
The porcelain dial is intact porcelain, the surround, hands, pendulum bob and weights are brass. This antique timepiece has been fitted with iron wall brackets with screws to level and adjust. The winding crank is a modern replacement.
Size of this historic clock is 10" wide, 7" deep and 58" tall overall.

This clock needs to be "set up" when delivered - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
