Signed "Bauselli of Torino" or Turin in Italy, this Midcentury Modern armoire or wardrobe from about 1950 is curly or birdseye maple.
The finish is in excellent condition on this beautiful vintage furniture, with a little irregularity characteristic of burl. There is a scent of mothballs inside that will probably never disappear entirely. Door knob is original and the lock still works.
The interior is blond birch with a mahogany panel, there is a shelf and closet pole, interior depth is 21." Because of the large door, the armoire will tip forward when the door is opened, so it must either be anchored to the wall or have enough weight inside to balance.
Measurements are 32" wide, 23" deep and 70" tall.
