This nostalgic 1840 era bed has original side rails that have wooden threads to screw together, made with knobs for winding a rope to make a "spring."
For today's lifestyle, the rails have been extended to standard full or double size. We furnish an upholstered platform or bunky board to use instead of a spring unit, that supports a standard full or double size mattress. The demonstrator shown is 10" thick.
Turned of solid maple with lots of curly or "tiger" grain, the sturdy frame has an excellent satiny finish.
Said to be from Pennsylvania, this American made antique furniture measures 50" wide, 80" long and 41" tall.
