The most beautiful example of a Victorian silverplate tilting water pitcher or kettle and stand we have ever seen is signed by famed silversmith, "Reed & Barton." Engraved "To My Wife, Christmas 1887," the silver is in excellent condition on this American made antique tableware.
A cover unscrews and the intact ceramic liner is removable for cleaning. The lid handle is a bear with a salmon, lavishly embossed motifs include various breeds of dog and bear heads, paw fee, flowers and etched vines. The drip tray drawer collects condensation and slides open. There are two sockets for drinking goblets, just one matching goblet survives.
Overall dimensions of this lovely piece are 13" x 12" and 19" tall.
