Hand crafted in England about 1870, this mahogany bookcase has old wavy glass panes in the doors. The finish is in excellent condition on figured mahogany with pine sides.
There are numerous shrinkage separations from age and mars at the edges for antique character. There is a warp to the right door, see photos. Shelves adjust by sliding into slots. Below the pull out shelf, drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints on this historic furniture.
Hardware is solid brass, the lock in the upper door works with a key. The upper section is a separate piece for easier moving.
Measurements are 50" wide, 19" deep and 6' 8" tall.
