An English gateleg dropleaf tea table from about 1870 could be a breakfast, sofa or foyer table as well.
The finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina on matched burl and mahogany. There are various restorations and shrinkage separations from age for antique character.
Hand carved legs swing into position on both sides, porcelain wheels are original. With both leaves down, the table is unstable and will not stand safely on its own, at least one leaf must be raised for stability.
Open size is 42" long, 26" wide and 29" tall, with one drop leaf raised, size is 24" x 36."
