Victorian Eastlake Walnut & Burl Carved 1870's Antique Bookcase, Lion Pulls

A splendid late Victorian or Eastlake period bookcase was hand carved in the 1870's. The finish is in excellent condition on solid walnut, accented with burl panels.

Cast brass lion head hardware is original on this American made antique furniture. Doors have original wavy glass and working locks. Shelves adjust on wooden supports. Drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era. The upper gallery is richly detailed.

Measurements are 48" wide, 17" deep and 71" tall and will accommodate books up to 11" deep.
