A magnificent country manor dining or library table was hand carved in Scandinavia about 1900 in the Renaissance manner. The top is solid quarter sawn oak with a parquet pattern, like a castle floor.
There are shrinkage separations from age between the planks. The lustrous deep finish is in excellent condition on this European antique furniture.
Boldly scaled, the oak trestle base is tight and strong. At both ends are pull out or refectory leaves that are 36" deep.
Dimensions are 47" wide, 32" tall, legroom is just over 24" underneath and length when closed is 6' 9," with both leaves extended length is 12' 9" overall.
