An outstanding traditional Georgian design breakfront china cabinet or bookcase from about 50 years ago is signed by noted maker, "Robert S. Irwin."
Mahogany is inlaid with ebony and tulipwood banding plus matched flame grain panels. The restored satiny finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage furniture. Upper doors have convex panes of glass, interior glass shelves are adjustable with grooves to display plates if desired.
The top drawer drops open to a desk with a gold tooled leather writing surface. Locks work and embossed brasses are original on drawers with solid oak dovetailed sides. The carved and pierced pediment is authentic.
For easier moving, the upper section is removable. Measurements are 76" wide, 16" deep and 93 1/2" tall.
