With this feathered hat, anyone can feel like Napoleon or anoint yourself the Duke of Whatever.
This hand-stitched hat is black fur-like satin with black and white feathers, probably ostrich. There is gold embroidery around a velvet cross, and gold epaulet in back. There is a maker's signature label inside.
Complete with its own case, missing a buckle, but including a brush for your valet to use. This size is probably a men's small, but there is no size indication on this grand vintage hat, probably about 75 years old.
We see slight wear at the edges, size is 17" long, 8" wide and 9" tall, the triangular case is 21" long, 11" deep and 7" tall.
We have been told that this hat is a masonic hat belonging to the order of the Knights Templers. It is an officers hat, and new sells for over five hundred dollars.
This piece can be shipped with insurance, Priority Mail within the Continental US for $30.00.
