First, the chairs showed up on my door step on the very day Don said they would arrive, I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed at the sight of the disassembled chairs!! I wanted to drop you a line letting you know that the clock and urns are even more beautiful in person than in the pictures on the website.

There was a clock expert/historian/customer in the local clock repair shop who took a glance at the clock mechanism and asked the estimated age that I was given. He said the mechanism itself was last manufactured in 1867 and he and the shop owner agreed that the likely date for the clock was mid 1800's. Be that as it may the owner asked the price that I paid and he stated that that was a fair price at this point in time for the piece.


Thank you again for properly representing the condition of the clock and selling at a fair price point. We are not "antique" people and it is good to deal with a firm in this industry that doesn't try to gouge the customer. You will get our recommendation to our friends.
