An imposing Empire sideboard, server or back bar from about 1840 has a black marble top and stately columns. Matched flame grain mahogany is gorgeous, the finish is in excellent condition with a few mars at the edges for antique character.
"Nero Portoro" marble is from a famous quarry in Italy, and has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Two doors are curved, the other two have raised panels. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms, square nails are visible on this American made antique furniture from St. Louis.
Measurements are 69" wide, 26" deep, 63" tall including the removable gallery and the marble top is 45" high. Pull out shelves extend an extra 14" at both ends.
