Signed by one of America's most famous Victorian clockmakers "Ansonia," this china clock is hand painted in cobalt blue with flowers and gold accents.
The open escapement brass 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and oiled, and runs well, striking the hour and half. Engraving on the back reads "Ansonia, New York, Pat. June 14, '81."
The porcelain dial has hairline cracks, see photos. We see no damage to the case, but the porcelain glaze is crackled or crazed due to age. The beveled glass is original in an embossed brass frame.
Size of this antique clock is 12 1/2" wide, 5" deep and 11 1/2" tall.
