Art Deco 1920 Schmidt-Hofer Bronze Nude Sculpture

An authentic Art Deco period bronze sculpture of a nude woman is signed by noted artist of the period, Otto Schmidt-Hofer. Dating from the early 1920's, this is a late work of the artist, who was born in Berlin in 1873 and died in 1925.

His sculptures have been exhibited and sold all over the world. The base is Italian black marble with gold and white graining, and a repair to the bottom.

We see no damage to the bronze figure, the beautiful deep toned patina is so perfect it appears to be retouched. Overall height is 16 1/2" and the bronze itself is 13 1/2" tall.
