Black Forest Oak Antique Desk, Hand Carved Lion Pulls, Tooled Leather #29174

Hand carved of solid oak in the Black Forest where Germany, France and Switzerland meet, this desk from about 1890 has hand carved lion head pulls on the drawers and a gold tooled leather top.

The oak frame around the leather top has a restored finish for durability, the rest of the original finish is very well preserved. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Drawers have dovetailed joints on this richly detailed antique furniture from France. There are mars and wear to the leather for a little character, see photos. This desk is three stacking sections for easy delivery.

Measurements are 48" wide, 29" deep and 32" tall, the kneehole is 18" wide and 24" high.
