Country Pine 1850's Antique Trunk, Blanket Chest or Coffee Table

A country pine blanket chest or trunk was hand crafted around 1850, and makes a nice casual coffee table as well. The old finish has just enough mars and stains for a little antique character, and has been preserved with a satin varnish finish.

Wrought iron hinges and handles are original on this American made primitive furniture. Hand cut dovetail joints on the corners are beautiful, square cut nails can be seen on the bottom of this historic piece.

The lock is incomplete. Size is 36 1/2" long, 19" deep and 20" tall.
