Carved of solid walnut with burl panels about 1880 during the Eastlake period, this chest or dresser has a marble top and swivel beveled mirror - it would make a picturesque vessel sink vanity as well. Similar installations are pictured under "Articles" on our website, see home page.
The finish is excellent, embossed brasses are original on the dovetailed drawers. "Tennessee Red" marble is also in very fine condition, the three dimensional carving on the crest is impressive. Candle stands flank the adjustable mirror on this American made antique furniture.
Size is 41" wide, 20" deep and 81" tall.
