English Walnut Triple Sliding Glass Antique 1900 Fireplace Screen

A triple sliding glass fireplace screen was crafted in England about 1900 of solid walnut.

The renewed finish is in excellent condition on this antique furniture. Three sliding glass panels were used to adjust the heat from a hot fire, blocking the middle while allowing heat to the face or feet.

These were also used to cover a fireplace in summer. Fabric is glued to the glass panes. Brass wheels are original.

Size when closed is 26" wide, 14" deep and 42" tall, with both panels fully extended, width is 48" overall.
