Federal Empire Gold 1800 Antique Mirror

Dating from the very early 1800's, this authentic American Federal or Empire period looking glass has worn original gold leaf with numerous later touchups. Cut nails are visible on the back.

Sixteen acorns and a shell crest adorn the top of this charming antique. Said to be from New York State, both mirrors have a little "smoke." Size of this historic mirror is 25" wide, 5" deep and 39" tall.
