Irish Antique Sterling Silver Asparagus Tongs, Signed Thomas Farnell, 1815-1855

A lovely sterling silver asparagus tongs could be a pastry server as well, hallmarked in Ireland by Thomas Farnell, who worked 1815- 1855 in Dublin.

There is a tiny hand engraved monogram, "HCR," plus a deer or elk head, presumably a family crest. This heavy weight antique serving piece weighs 5.9 oz. and is in beautiful condition. Size is 10" long.
