Mah Jong 1920 Chinese Majong Game Set, Rosewood Case

This "Mah Jong" game set was made in China during the "Majong" craze in the 1920's. The hand made rosewood case is dovetailed and has engraved brass mounts, there are a few warps as shown. The finish and painting are original.

A sliding cover encloses five small drawers of pieces in bamboo and bone. There are pieces as shown, but we aren't clever enough enough to play and don't know if this set is complete or not.

Size of the exquisite case is 8" wide, 7" deep and 5 1/2" tall not including the handles.
