Middle Eastern Teak Trunk, Chest or Coffee Table, Brass Mounts
Perhaps 100 years old, this solid teak trunk or chest from somewhere in the Middle East is an interesting coffee or cocktail table.
The well worn finish has stains and mars for antique character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
Hand hammered brass mounts and nail head decorations are artistic, there are a few sharp edges on the brass. Inside is a covered compartment for valuables. At the bottom are three drawers with hand cut dovetail joints.
Size is 50" long, 21" deep and 22" tall.
