Originally made to house an antique sewing machine about 1900, this quarter sawn oak cabinet has glass panes in the door showing leather book backs. These are original removable faux books, together with a small beveled mirror. The top originally flipped open to use the sewing machine, and has been screwed shut.
The deep brown finish is excellent, and this is fascinating furniture for many uses - it would be useful next to a bed or reading chair, or in a dressing area or bath. Paneled and finished on all four sides, there are wheels underneath. Dimensions are 22" long, 18" deep and 30 1/2" tall.
