This refined 5 door bookcase was hand carved in solid oak with burl panels about 1910. It has glass doors plus claw and ball feet, and workmanship is unrivaled. Doors are mounted on solid brass piano hinges, side panels are raised and even the back legs are carved.
The interior is finished, back panels are also solid oak. Shelves are adjustable on wooden supports. The original finish is excellent with warm patina, and the hand-carved detailed moldings are impressive.
There are small separations from age in the quarter-matched burl panels, see photos. Brass hardware is original, locks operate with keys.
The breakfront center section is 13" deep, the side sections are 12" deep. Measurements of this impressive antique furniture are 8'5" long, 18" deep and 5'7" tall.
