A "Photoscope" or coin operated 3-D or stereo card viewer from about 1900 is signed, "Exhibit Supply Co. Pictures, Chicago." Inserting a penny into the mechanism allows an automatic viewing of a series of stereo pictures. This amusement device was popular in Penny Arcades like Coney Island, pictures are "Approved by New York Censors," so not to worry.
A key wind up device allows five different sequences to operate in order. Ribbed glass panes allow light into the machine.
One key winds the mechanism which is in fine working order, another key opens the machine to access the penny box inside.
The exterior is steel with worn old paint. Size is 9" wide, 11" deep and 24" tall.
