Schoolmaster Antique 1850 Grain Painted Podium or Table Top Desk

A schoolmaster's podium or tabletop desk has an old grain painted finish that is probably original, preserved with clear varnish.

American made, this 1850 era antique furniture has square cut nails. There is a gallery around the bookshelf on top.

Size is 25" wide, 25" deep and 17" tall at the back, 8" tall at the front.
