Semainier or 7 Drawer Carved Italian Antique Lingerie Chest

Called a "Semainier," or weekly lingerie chest with one drawer for each day of the week, this lovely 1920's furniture was hand carved in northern Italy.

Walnut with delicate inlaid marquetry and banding, the original finish is excellent with very little wear and only tiny mars at the edges, see photos.

Drawers are smooth and finished inside and have hand cut dovetails and original brass knobs.

Drawer fronts are convex carved, side panels have matched grain. Front and back legs are detailed on this elegant antique.

Size is 20" wide, 17" deep and 63" tall.
