The style of these 8 country Victorian armchairs has been called captain's, tavern or firehouse. These were used in a pub in northern Wisconsin. Ruggedly built of solid elm, ash and oak, they are extremely strong and solid - double rungs connect the legs.
The deep brown finish is excellent, there is wear and patina as expected on 1890's furniture. The curved back and sides plus sculpted seats make for comfortable seating.
Size of these nostalgic antiques is 22" wide, 23" deep, over 28" tall and the seats are 18" high.
