This is wonderful Sheraton period furniture from about 1820. The pair of "D" shaped demilune console tables have dropleaves and gatelegs to form an oval banquet dining table. Solid cherry with flame mahogany aprons or skirts, the satiny finish is excellent.
Spiral turned legs are graceful on this American East Coast antique ensemble. Historic and well proportioned, this is strong and very usable furniture.
When used against a wall as matching console tables, dimensions are 47" wide, 27" deep and 30" tall. There is a small wood strip to join the two ends into a larger dining table, which measures 47" wide, 101" long, 30" tall and legroom is 24 1/2" underneath.
