Victorian 1870 Bookcase, Carved Lion Heads, Glass Doors

A bookcase was richly hand carved of solid walnut during the Victorian Renaissance period about 1870, featuring burl panels and lion heads.

The original finish is well worn with warm patina and lots of antique character - mars, stains and wear, and has been waxed and polished, needing only a wipe with a soft dry cloth to keep its warm antique patina.

Two separate banks of shelves adjust on wooden supports. The key is a handle only, the lock does not work on this grand American made furniture.

Dimensions are 53" wide, 16" deep and 54" tall. The interior shelves are 10" deep.
