Victorian 1870's Canterbury Stand for Magazines or Music
An authentic Victorian period 1870's "Canterbury" stand for magazines or music dates from the 1870's. The walnut with rosewood grain has warm patina, and the original finish has been very well preserved with later varnish, there is just enough wear for a little antique character.
Delicately carved dividers fit oversize portfolios. Porcelain wheel are original on this parlor or music room furniture from England. The hand dovetailed drawer has inlaid marquetry.
Size of this charming historic stand is 22" long, 15" deep and 19" tall.
