A wonderful example of late Victorian or Eastlake design, this 1885 era tall chest or dresser has incised "spoon" or chip carving.
Solid oak and ash, the warm finish is in excellent condition, with a few mars, touchups, even grafitti for antique character, see photos.
The second drawer side, back and bottom have been rebuilt, other joints are all "pin and cove" dovetails of the period. Engraved brasses are original on this American made furniture. Carved detailing and fluted panels are beautiful.
Dimensions are 40" wide, 21" deep and 58" tall.
