Victorian Renaissance 1880's Queen Size Bedroom Set
Authentic Victorian Renaissance furniture from about 1880, this wonderful bedroom set includes a queen size bed, marble top dresser or chest with mirror and bedside chest.
There are stenciled signatures on the back of the washtand marble and on the top underneath, "A. H. (?) Crane Furniture Warehouse, Washington St., St. Louis," see photo.
Solid walnut with burl panels, the satiny finish is excellent. Marble tops are polished and sealed and drawers are dovetailed on this grand American made antique set.
The baronial bed has been adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress as shown. Size is 86" long, 67" wide, the footboard is 33" tall and the imposing headboard is 88" high.
There are candle or lamp stands flanking the mirror on the dresser. Measurements are 43" wide, 21" deep and 84" tall.
The bedside chest has a hairline crack in the marble, see photo. Size is 31" wide, 17" deep and 38" tall.
