This harmonious carved chest or dresser has a marble top and triple beveled mirrors - it could also work very well as a vessel or sink vanity.
Hand-carved of walnut about 1900, the original finish is in very good condition - see photos. Shaped and beveled mirrors have a little "smoke" to show their age, right and left mirrors are hinged. Embossed brasses are original, drawers have hand-dovetailed solid oak sides.
The richly grained marble top, sides and upper shelf have a fine polish with minor stains, scratches and flakes at the edges, see photos.
Elegant and graceful carving shows great mastery, the Rococco shell crest is especially wonderful.
Measurements of this antique furniture from northern France are 51" wide, 23" deep, 81" tall and the main marble top is 34" high.
