Said to be from the Green Bay, Wisconsin train depot, this Victorian railroad ticket case has a roll top.
Solid walnut, the old finish is very fine with just enough wear and mars for a little antique patina and character. The roll slides smoothly, there is a small chip at the left edge, see photos.
The original brass keyhole escutcheon is engraved "National Ticket Case Co, Chicago, Ill," but the lock mechanism is missing. Interior shelves are later on this 1880's era furniture.
Measurements are 23" wide, 10" deep and 45" tall.
