Hand carved of solid butternut and maple about 1880 during the Eastlake period, this country armoire has charming incised "spoon" or chip carving.
The warm golden finish is in superb condition on this Wisconsin made antique. Inside, the hand carved swinging sets of wooden hooks for clothing are still intact. Shelves could be installed if desired. The key in the door is a handle only, the lock does not work.
Just over 17" deep inside. There are losses and repairs to the front bottom, see photos.
Measurements of this hand made picturesque furniture are 49 1/2" wide, 21" deep and 78" tall.
