Carved about 1925 in the English Tudor manner, this "hunt board" or small sideboard or console is American made furniture, the trestle base frame is strong and tight.
The deep brown finish is in excellent condition on solid oak. Dovetailed drawers have original brass pulls and classic "linenfold" carving. Doors have carved Renaissance motifs against a hand "tooled" background.
A hunt board was traditionally used for a cold supper of smoked meats, fish and cheese after a hunting party returned.
Measurements are 38" wide, 18" deep and 36 1/2" tall.
