This antique roll-top desk is from the Arts & Crafts or Mission Oak period about 1910, crafted of quarter sawn oak and signed "Clemco," a prominent Chicago maker of the day the rich deep finish is in excellent condition with a few very minor mars at the edges for character, see photos. Brass feet protected the desk when mopping floors.
Deep dovetailed drawers include a large file drawer, two pull-out shelves add workspace. The "C" shaped roll operates smoothly, inside are tiny cubicles and drawers plus pencil and letter holders at each side. A compartment door key is a handle only, the lock does not work.
Clean lines and rich natural wood grain distinguish this American made office furniture, which can be disassembled for moving. The rolltop lock has no key.
Size is 66" long, 34" deep, 42 1/2" tall, the work area is 30 1/2" high, the kneehole is 29 1/2" wide and 25" high.
