A traditional dining set carved in the Georgian manner includes a table with two leaves and six chairs. Mahogany with richly figured flame grain, this 1940's American made vintage furniture has an excellent satiny finish with minor mars at the edges for antique character.
The table has two 12" wide leaves with skirts or aprons. Size is 42" wide, 30" tall, legroom is 26" underneath, length closed is 66," and with both leaves in place, length is 90" overall. Six wide and comfortable chairs are solid mahogany, classically carved and newly upholstered.
Five side chairs measure 23" wide, 23" deep, 36" tall and seats are 19" high, the arm chair is 25" wide. All are strong and tight. The signature is lost, but side pieces are signed "Luce of Grand Rapids, Mich."
