A 1900 era stand up or stool height desk is solid oak and shows Craftsman influence. We were told that it was made for a Green Bay, Wisconsin, train depot.
The finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few stains and mars for antique character. Three large drawers have dovetailed joints on this American made furniture.
The rock solid base is removable for easier delivery, the upper gallery held ledgers or timetables. There is a groove to keep pens from rolling away.
Measurements are just over 6' wide, 34" deep, the gallery is 55" high and the writing surface slopes up from 42" at the front to 44" at the back.
