A large majolica pottery beer stein from Germany is embossed and hand painted, with pewter mounts.
This antique covered mug from around 1900 bears a traditional drinking poem, roughly translated as "Who doesn't care for beer and women, he may erase this rhyme." Generously scaled, the only damage we see is a chip on the top of the handle, see photos.
Size is 8 1/2" across and 11" tall.
