"Sentier Fleuri," or The Flower Path, a sculpture of a young woman gathering flowers is from the Art Nouveau period around 1900.
Spelter is a cast alloy metal, similar to pewter, and was "patinated" with a dark bronze finish. Signed "Louis Moreau," the famed French sculptor from a family of artists, this lovely statue was converted to a lamp about 75 years ago.
The shade holder is not straight, so the shade frame must be bent a bit to level. We will include the worn old shade or discard it as desired. The base is green marble. Overall height is 29" and the statue is about 7" across.
