Whether this is called a "recamier," chaise or settee, it is a glamorous piece of furniture - hand crafted in Holland of mahogany, then shipped to the Dutch East Indies for inlaid marquetry, and then returned to Europe in the 1870's.
The finish is in excellent condition on the sturdy and strong frame. Newly upholstered, seat springs are comfortable and the back is firm.
This fascinating European antique furniture measures 70" long, 26" deep and 35" high. The seat is 20" high and 22" deep.
