Carved of a single block of white marble about 1890 in Italy, this bust of a young woman with flowers is signed "A. Cipriani." There are minor flakes at the edges of this work of art, plus a chip on the separate pedestal, see photos.
Adolfo Cipriani was one of a famous family of sculptors who worked in Florence, Italy and was active 1880-1930. A true master, the beautiful face is proud but demure on this antique sculpture.
Measurements are 12" across, 7" deep and 21" tall.
