Crafted by famous maker "Kittinger," this writing or library desk has tooled leather panels in the top. Made of matched mahogany, the deep lustrous finish is superb. Drawers glide smoothly and have dovetailed solid oak sides. There is a slight sag to the center - see photo.
The front has knobs on false drawer fronts plus a pull-out interview shelf. Brasses are original on this vintage furniture from about 25 years ago, except for one slightly different knob.
Signed with the burned-in brand, "Kittinger of Buffalo, NY," this piece is top quality in every way. Measurements are 6' long, 3' deep, 30 1/2" tall, the kneehole is 29" wide and 24" tall. The matching credenza or computer desk is sold separately.
